Be determined you're going to start receiving revelation from the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to shed His light on them and show you exactly how they apply to you.

Don't wast time wondering if your prayers are inline with God's will.
Grab your Bible and find out what the will of God is. He's made some very specific promises in His Word and it's His will to fulfill everyone of them in your life. Those promises are divinely guaranteed by a contract that's been signed in the blood of Jesus. You won't have them till you start believeing they are yours. And saying what you believe.
Wherefore be you not unwise, but understanding what the Will of the Lord is. ~ Ephesians 5:17

It is important to be sincerely sorry if we do something wrong, but it doesn't help anybody for us to openly mourn over everything that is wrong with us. We will never mature in our faith if we stay angry at ourselves.
Repent of our sin, receive forgiveness of it, forget it, move on.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
