God's Love in US

Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy... It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. ~ 1 Corinthians 13: 4,5  Amplified Bible

Stomach ulcers and tension headaches would disappear if we never paid attention to a suffered wrong. Be quick to forgive and avoid the stress.

said...did..do..lived...free

Jesue had to live by faith and obedience to God's Word just like we do. People make the mistake of thinking that He was able to live free from all the bondages and hindrances of the devil when He walked this earth because He was the Son of God. "Jesus couldn't have sinned" they say. "He couldn't have been sick. He couldn't have been afraid. After all, He was divine, He was God!"

Yes, He was (and is) God...but He also was (and is) man. He could have sinned. Thank God He didn't, but He could have. We know that because the Bible says He "was in all points tempted like as we are" (Hebrews 4:15).

Even though Jesus is God, when He came to earth He laid down the rights, and privileges and power that belonged to Him as God and lived as a man. As Philippians 2 says, He "stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity]...in that He became like men and was born a human being" ( verse 7, Amplified Bible).

What made and kept Jesus free, what held Him up and made Him strong was not His divine willpower. It wasn't even the fact that Almighty God was His Father. What made Him free was the fact He walked on the Word of God!

He said what His Father said. He did what His Father told Him to do. He lived on the Father's Word continually, night and day, and that Word kept Him free.

Jesus tells us to do the same as He did.

Brain Waves

When you we allow bad thoughts to hang around, we give them the power to destroy us.

example, if we let jealous thoughts about someone make its home in our head, we might begin hating that person. Then, we have 2 bad thoughts hanging around--on an on it goes.

We capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ.              ~ 2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; ~ 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV

You can stop that bad thought.

Be Considerate

Do not be interested only in your own life, but be interested in the lives of others. ~ Philippians 2:4

A few ways to be considerate are:

Say "thank you"

Be quiet while someone is on the phone.

Give the biggest ice cream to someone else.

Put things back where you found them.

Take special care of borrowed things, and return them quickly.

Be a good listener.

Let someone go ahead of you in line.

Being considerate of others means you care.                                        Jesus cares about you, an wants you to care also.

Let this mind be in you, which also was in Christ Jesus              ~Philippians 2:5

Drawing Good

I AM DRAWING GOOD FROM BAD

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. ~ Romans 8:28

Everything in our life can be used as a part of God's plan for good. Yes, even the bad things. Even the very situation that you think is intolerable or hopeless. Trust Him. This thing, too will work together for your good and His glory.

It is possible because you love the Lord, because you have been called to walk in God's ways, and you have answered yes to that call. He is committed to taking whatever evil comes into your life and bringing good out of it.

ALL THINGS WILL WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD... ALL THINGS!!! Even your own failures and faults and areas of sin are opportunities for God to work. Commit them to God. Confess them. Put them under the blood of Jesus His Son.

Trust God in this.

Working Muscles

If you exercised for ten mintues every day, your whole body would become stronger. That's how it works with your faith in God, too.

Each act of obedience to God is like a workout session in faith. God sees your obedience and gives you new power that strengthens your faith, which in turn, makes it easier to obey again.

The Lord seaches all the earth for people who have given themselves completely to him. He wants to make them strong. ~ 2 Chronicles 16:9

Go ahead work those faith muscles.

Gossip

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. ~ Psalm 34:13

The gossips tongue devise wickedness, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. ~ Psalm 52:2

Where no wood is, there the fire goes out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. ~ Psalm 26:20

He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy and faithful in spirit keeps the matter hidden. Psalm 11:13

I think you get the picture!!
