Perhaps by now you've heard about Batman at Buckingham Palace. Seth Godin pointed it out, with a photo, but Matthew Revell wondered what there was to say about it. Other than just the obvious fact that activism and PR go hand in hand.
Well, to me there is something else -- what message are you conveying with your technique? Call me old-fashioned, but I still don't think much of publicity stunts, especially when it's related to a serious issue such as this one. Fathers in many countries have been working hard for many years to have their rights recognized, and this kind of silly activist trick only reinforces the mistaken idea that too many people have, that the father's rights guys are just a bunch of wingnuts wanting to avoid paying child support. And that's not it at all.
