Remember it's Food Basics, so don't think your recipe needs to be complex, or haute cuisine. If you like it, chances are somebody else will too!

Note: I may be offline for awhile today. Something went wrong with the heat here and it's a bit more chilly than I'd like. Yes, I know to you Northerners 50 degrees sounds like you could go out in your shorts and mow the lawn, but us 'Zonies are wimps. I'm going to go bake something and warm up!

How to Be a Better Food Writer

eGullet is most often thought of as the definitive site on food. But look at the Culinary Institute section! There's a great piece on food writing I thought was spot on.

You probably have to sign up for the forum, but if you're interested in food writing, you'll be interested in food, and there's a lot there to wallow in! (At least that's what I did!) ;>)

Dragon Gets Nod from Joy of Soup

The main character in my novel Dragon, Abe Cohen, submitted his recipe to the Joy of Soup awhile back, and SuePleydee has it up there today! ;>)
Sadly, Dragon is now out of print, but I just might serialize it at blog, considering how many people are now reading Sweethearts&Monsters!
