Since Wayne and Steve were nice enough to give my Transparent Job Search a mention, I've decided to pay it forward.
Here's what Dave Kaiser has to say:
I am a graduate student at the University of Chicago. I will shortly, if all goes well, defend my dissertation on computational semantics and receive a Ph.D. from the departments of Linguistics and Slavic Languages and Literatures. Many students use webpages to express themselves, or to share their hobbies, or find a date, or whatever. I may work up to such things (OK, not the part about getting a date, my wife would disapprove), but for now, this exists for one purpose, to help me find a *job*. At this time, I am strongly leaning towards a job in industry, although if you work for a university and would like to offer me a nice gig as a post-doc, or better yet a tenure track job, I encourage you to make me an offer. You won’t be sorry
Dave's also hosting the Carnival of the Vanities next week at his blog, Blogo Slovo.
Trudy, your idea of becoming a professional blogger is a great one. I am more than happy to give the concept some much needed publicity. Good luck with your goal!
