What Would YOU Say?

Just cause you can, doesn't mean you should. The blogging world has exploded into a sea of crap. For every decent blog, like this one, there are 40,000 terrible ones. trying to find the dimond in the rough is...well next to impossible anymore.

I have been blogging for several years, and just trashed all of them recently, and started over. the problem is, I am questioning whether or not it is worth it anymore.

I got this in one of the comments hidden way down -- I'm still very high on blogs and blogging -- what would you say to this guy?

I'm not trying to be mean, or anything of that nature. I think you truly have a beautifully crafted blog, with a legitimate reason for being. WOLves is a diamond in the rough.

And I do agree blogs can be great tool for writers. But in the majority of cases, I see blogs as tools without the materials to build anything. Maybe someone should write a how-to write manual for blogs. :-)

No offense taken! I'm just so into blogging, it's hard for me to figure out why anyone would not be. Though I know blogger's fatigue does set in. It just hasn't hit me yet!

But you know, that idea you had about getting rid of all the old blogs and starting out fresh seems like a good idea. Sometimes we get stuck in our little rut of the blogs we read, it's so easy not to venture beyond that. I had a look at the blogs in my aggregator yesterday and I know I'm down to just a few I actually read every day.

So I'm going to try an experiment (probably tomorrow, as it should be fairly quiet.)

I'm going to pretend I never saw a blog before and start from scratch. I'll see what I find!

Do you still enjoy blogging? You sound as if you had expectations for blogging, and now you're disappointed.

That's sad. Why not create a private, personal blog on which you can have fun? BTW, I think your blog is great. :-)

OK John, I nominate YOU to write the manual. I'd love to read it. :-) Why not consider doing that? It might make blogging fun for you again.
