Weekly lessons on the craft of (newspaper) writing are available FREE
on-line from the Providence Journal in Providence, Rhode Island. The
Power of Words has been publishing writing tips by the staff of The
Providence Journal almost every week since August 1997. The collection
is indexed, by subject. Here are just a few examples: First person,
